Role overview
To function as the inventory and receiving officer for Calo Kitchen, to monitor and report on the company’s inventory. Your job is important since the efficient handling of the company’s products and supplies is critical for the attainment of business goals.
The successful inventory and receiving personnel is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. They possess great attention to detail and a business mindset. The goal is to ensure that all business operations have the adequate materials to achieve their objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
- Utilize our inventory management system to accurately track stock levels, receipts, and stock transfers.
- Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages and report it to the purchasing officer.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- Use Google sheets and ERP to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile system records.
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
- Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
- Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory and stock management within the in restaurants, hotels or production facility (food) industries
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel/Google sheets and office
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Must be currently present in UK
- Must be a proficient communicator
- Ensuring that health, hygiene and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures is a major plus
- Attending food safety training sessions and familiarity with ISO certification standards is advantageous
