Role overview
We’re looking for a star player to ensure excellent kitchen, dispatch, and logistics operations driven by quality, speed, and accuracy to meet and exceed our customer demand.
Main Responsibilities
General
- To monitor and control all aspects of food preparation, dispatch and logistics to ensure consistency and high level of quality at all times
- Assigns tasks and keeps everyone accountable; oversees the application of all processes as per SOPs and ingredients used as per specification
- Maintains effective working relationships between managers and team members
- To maintain stocks and inventories of all packaging materials, through effective planning and procurement
- Ensures that health, hygiene and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures
Logistics
- Ensure deliveries are picked up on time by having drivers arrive on time and in different time slots
- Ensure deliveries reach customers on-time and within the delivery window
- Monitor and document the drivers attitude with customers & implement code of conduct as needed
- Maintain a zero error delivery accuracy with the delivery team
- Respond promptly to the CX team to ensure all customers requests are fulfilled
- Maintain driver attendance records, hygiene, and appearance as per HACCP standards
- Communicate directly with the Calo Dev. and Product team whenever bugs come up on the #bugs channel
- Work with Calo Finance team and within the monthly Driver Bonus code to reward high performing drivers
- Maintain the daily vehicle temperature log
- Plan ahead for capacity of delivery vehicles and communicate with Operational lead, the requirements of additional vans.
Supply Chain
- Responsible for day to day delivery schedules/ordering with suppliers based on Kitchen requirements and safety stock
- Communicate daily critical items -Zero stock and below Safety Stock
- Process new supplier/ ingredients qualification in collaboration with Marketing and R&D teams
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and in full quantities
- Ensure Materials availability through proper tracking of stock levels and Reorder Levels
- Validate invoices for goods received and submit to accounts for records and payment processing
Financial
- To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them
- To review monthly forecasts and schedule resources accordingly
- To ensure all month-end inventories are completed accurately
Product
- To frequently verify and make sure that the portioned meals are following guidelines and standards laid down by the company
- To frequently taste Food and to be demanding and critical when it comes to Food quality, thus maintaining the high-quality standard of the product
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years experience with logistics, food operations, and supply chain
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with different departments
- High-quality standards - ensures that customers receive the best product and experience
